High beta movers like metals, banks and infrastructure were in correction mode. After a stellar performance in the previous session, stocks are headed for some amount of volatility Thursday. But a positive start is expected on the back of healthy cues from global shores. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensitive Index rallied 2.5% on Wednesday, led by Reliance Industries (RIL) and Infosys Technologies, on renewed optimism about the world economy. Overseas investors on Wednesday made a net investment of Rs 861.84 crore in the local stock markets. The Bombay Stock Exchange is working on trading in different categories like debts, interest rate derivatives, forex and power, a top official said.
